Joseph N. Bolander is an associate attorney at Castillo Harper, APC, in Riverside, California. Mr. Bolander practices labor and employment law, representing employers and employees in matters involving discrimination, wage and hour violations and wrongful termination. He serves clients in and around Winchester, Coachella, Indio and Riverside and throughout San Bernardino County.Mr. Bolander litigates a variety of employment-related matters, including claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Passionate about helping individuals fighting for the country, he also litigates claims under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. He is familiar with all aspects of the litigation process from start to finish.In addition, Mr. Bolander has experience handling writs of mandate and matters for the California Correctional Supervisors Organization and the PORAC (Peace Officers Research Association of California) Legal Defense Fund. He argues at the state and appellate levels on matters involving significant issues such as calculation of the regular pay rate and overtime for K-9 handlers.After earning a bachelor’s degree in social science with an emphasis in history from the University of LaVerne, Mr. Bolander graduated magna cum laude from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. While completing his law degree, he served on the Chapman Law Review. He acquired practical legal experience through externing for a judge and clerking with the Orange County Office of the District Attorney.Mr. Bolander received his license to practice law in 2011 and is qualified to appear before all California state courts.
