- Anthony F. Pantoni is a sole practitioner focusing primarily on employment law, with extensive experience representing both employees and employers. Mr. Pantoni graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School. He has been practicing law for more than 35 years, all in California.Mr. Pantoni was formerly a partner with the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison, where his last position was the partner in charge of the San Diego office’s labor and employment law practice.Mr. Pantoni currently represents plaintiffs in a wide variety of litigation matters, involving all aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour, and breach of contract. He has considerable expertise advising senior executives and other employees in negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements.Mr. Pantoni also has extensive experience in management-side employment law, including the defense of wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour, and other employment-related lawsuits and administrative actions. He has also provided day-to-day preventative advice to employers, including advice regarding personnel policies and practices, employment contracts, severance agreements, and the counseling and termination of employees.Mr. Pantoni has successfully litigated cases through jury verdict on behalf of both employees and employers. Mr. Pantoni has obtained several $1 million+ jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements on behalf of plaintiff employees, including a $7.2 million jury verdict following a month-long jury trial.In addition, Mr. Pantoni has an Alternative Dispute Resolution practice in which he mediates and arbitrates a wide variety of disputes, with an emphasis in labor and employment matters. He serves as a panelist through the San Diego Superior Court Civil Mediation Program, is on the arbitration and mediation panels of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), and also provides private mediation and arbitration services. Mr. Pantoni also conducts workplace investigations of harassment, discrimination and other employee complaints or employer concerns.Mr. Pantoni is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (“NELA”) and the California Employment Lawyers Association (“CELA”). Mr. Pantoni has been named a “Best Lawyer” in the field of labor and employment law as published in San Diego Magazine, for each year from 2007 to the present, and as a top attorney by “SuperLawyers” for the same period.
