A co-founder of Monsees & Mayer, P.C., Timothy W. Monsees is one of the region's most highly regarded personal injury and wrongful death litigation attorneys. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, he represents clients throughout the metropolitan area who have suffered harm as a result of the negligence of other parties. Admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Texas, Mr. Monsees is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th, 6th, 8th and 10th Circuits. In October 2017, Mr. Monsees was admitted to the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Monsees has been able to obtain numerous sizable settlements and jury awards for his clients in cases arising out of truck and other motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and products liability. As a result, he has been selected for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Monsees pursued his legal education at the University of Missouri School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1981. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, membership in which is limited to law students who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class. Mr. Monsees spent the first several years of his career as an insurance defense attorney, and this experience has allowed him to anticipate the types of tactics he faces as a plaintiff's attorney. He is the author of "Preparing for a Personal Injury Case" and several other published works.
