A personal injury can turn someone's life upside down, as Sandra H. Robinson, a Partner at The Cochran Firm, has seen time and again. For more than 25 years, she has been helping clients in Washington, D.C., and Maryland, to recover compensation for the damages they suffered as a result of negligent acts such as birth injuries, medical malpractice, delayed diagnosis, and wrongful death.Over the course of her career, Ms. Robinson has obtained multimillion-dollar awards on behalf of those she represents; in one year alone, juries awarded her clients over $20 million in compensation for cases of medical negligence. The National Bar Association granted her its Presidential Award. For her work mentoring women lawyers, she received the American Association for Justice Women Trial Lawyers Caucus' Marie Lambert Award. These honors are a reflection of the outstanding advocacy Ms. Robinson provides every day for people who have suffered due to a medical error or other injurious event. She knows how to establish a standard of care and demonstrate that a professional or a facility deviated from that standard, resulting in just compensation for the injuries suffered by those she represents.Ms. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Oberlin College. She then received a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 1982.Sharing her knowledge and experience with others, Ms. Robinson has mentored students and coached moot court teams.
