From his office in Livingston, New Jersey, Robert A. Jones serves clients located in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Union counties. He is the founder of the Law Offices of Robert A. Jones and devotes his practice to litigation. Mr. Jones represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, wrongful deaths, nursing home abuse and premises liability. He also handles business litigation and cases involving sexual harassment and employment discrimination, and he defends clients charged with driving while intoxicated. In addition, he represents clients who have experienced legal malpractice, including cases involving the theft of a client's funds, a failure to conduct proper discovery and a failure to file a personal injury lawsuit before the statute of limitations expired. Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Rutgers University - Newark, graduating with high honors in 1980. He then attended the Georgetown University Law Center and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1984. Mr. Jones has been a municipal court judge for the Township of Livingston since 2003, and he formerly served the township as a municipal prosecutor and assistant township attorney. Mr. Jones is admitted to practice in New Jersey before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is also certified in civil trial law by the Board on Attorney Certification that was established by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1980.
