A principal with the law firm of Ayres, Jenkins, Gordy, & Almand, P.A., M. Dean Jenkins has over 48 years of experience defending his clients in Ocean City, Maryland. Mr. Jenkins' legal practice is entirely focused in the area of criminal defense, and he represents his clients in matters ranging from minor offenses to serious felony cases. He has represented a number of clients in cases involving administrative hearings for driver licensing issues as well as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Mr. Jenkins completed his undergraduate studies in 1967, graduating with high honors from the University of Maryland, College Park. While he was in undergraduate school, he was also admitted to The Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mr. Jenkins then went on to pursue his legal education at the Georgetown University Law Center, graduating in 1970. He was then licensed to practice law that same year.Over the years, Mr. Jenkins has earned the respect of his peers. In 1999, he was inducted as a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, which is an honor reserved for the lawyers considered to be among the top 1 percent of lawyers in their states. He is additionally a fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation.Mr. Jenkins has taken more than 45 cases to jury trial and has successfully negotiated favorable outcomes for many other clients. He is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc., the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
