Partner at Thomas, White & Gill, Leigh Taylor White handles mediation and litigation of divorce, alimony, child custody/parenting, child support, adoption, child relocation, and dependency and neglect. With broad appellate and trial experience, Ms. White also works with clients to draft pre- and postnuptial agreements. She serves the people of Mississippi and Tennessee and was named by Memphis Business Journal as a Best of the Bar in 2018. She also has an Avvo “Superb” rating.Admitted to practice in Tennessee and Mississippi, Ms. White is also admitted to practice before several federal courts. These include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.Ms. White is a fellow of the Memphis Bar Association and a past president of the Family Law Section of the Memphis Bar Association. Within the Family Law Section of the organization, she has also been a wellness committee member.In 2002, Ms. White obtained her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Rhodes College. She then attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she graduated in 2005 with her Juris Doctor. Actively involved in her community, she is a Team MBA co-captain for the St. Jude Memphis Marathon, a volunteer for Memphis Area Legal Services, a ruling elder for Idlewild Presbyterian Church and a volunteer for the past board of directors for the Community Legal Center.
