A co-founder of Goodrich & Geist, P.C., Joshua P. Geist focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death litigation from the firm's office in Pittsburgh. In that regard, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area and other parts of Pennsylvania who have been harmed by the negligence or recklessness of other persons or entities. Mr. Geist's cases have included medical malpractice, construction accidents, defective products, animal bites, nursing home neglect, sexual assault, premises liability, and car, truck and motorcycle accidents, and he has been able to obtain several sizable settlements and jury verdicts for his clients. Remaining on campus, he pursued his legal education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2000. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Mr. Geist has represented personal injury and wrongful death plaintiffs for his entire career. He co-founded his present firm in May 2012.Mr. Geist is an active participant in several legal organizations. A past president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, he is the current president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and sits on its board of governors, and he is also an invited member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. Mr. Geist is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Pennsylvania.
