- The founder of her eponymous law firm located in Southbury, Connecticut, Jennifer LaRese focuses her practice exclusively on insolvency matters such as consumer bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, debt resolution and mortgage modifications/payment issues. Attorney LaRese represents clients throughout Connecticut and all over the world. Admitted to practice in Connecticut courts since 2006, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. Tax Court. Attorney LaRese furnishes advice and counsel to people who have been overwhelmed by credit card debt, medical bills, home mortgage payments, business debt and other types of financial obligations. She takes the time to thoroughly analyze each client's particular situation and then makes her recommendations accordingly. These could include filing bankruptcy or other workout out plans with the creditor directly. Attorney LaRese can also assist clients seeking to save their home from foreclosure, and/or obtaining a loan modification. Additionally, many mortgage lenders make mistakes with application of payments or escrow adjustments in which Attorney LaRese can assist with. Lastly, clients who have experienced issues with their mortgage company coming onto their property for inspections, and/or entering their home, are also envouraged to consult with the firm. Attorney LaRese majored in both political science and sociology at the University of Connecticut, graduating in 2002. She then went on to attend Western New England University School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2005. Her professional memberships include the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Attorney LaRese attends 2-3 Continuing Legal Education seminars each year to stay abreast of the changes in her field. We are a debt relief agency.
