Attorney Jeffrey Wicks is the founder of Wicks Law Firm in Rochester, New York. Mr. Wicks practices in the areas of criminal law, family law and legal malpractice, serving clients in the Rochester metropolitan area and the surrounding counties.A Rochester native, Mr. Wicks has more than 30 years of experience. He is committed to fighting injustice and provides dedicated representation to each of his clients. Prior to founding Wicks Law Firm, he served as a public defender at the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office and was a partner at a private firm.In addition to his practice, Mr. Wicks is a former adjunct professor at the State University of New York's The College at Brockport. He previously served in many roles for the Monroe County Center for Dispute Settlement and on the board of directors for the Jewish Family Service of Rochester.Active in the legal community, Mr. Wicks is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Defenders Association. He is a multi-year recipient of the New York State Bar Association President’s Pro Bono Service Award.Mr. Wicks earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and received his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. He holds a license before all New York state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
