The founder of The Horowitz Law Firm, Jeffrey D. Horowitz focuses his practice primarily on a variety of real estate-related matters, and his experience also encompasses personal injury litigation. Based in Sherman Oaks, he represents businesses and individuals throughout California, including Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Kern, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Admitted to practice in California since 1990, Mr. Horowitz is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.Mr. Horowitz has extensive experience in construction litigation, and counts among his clients in this regard contractors, material suppliers, and commercial and residential property owners. His cases have included delays and change orders, contract breaches, construction defects, slow payments, mechanic's liens, and performance and surety bond issues. In his eminent domain practice, Mr. Horowitz represents commercial and residential property owners as well as displaced commercial tenants who are facing a taking by a governmental body and who are seeking fair compensation for their losses. He attended California State University, Northridge, as an undergraduate, and before he received a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 1987, he spent a year studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Mr. Horowitz then obtained his legal education at Loyola Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1990.
