- Jason M. Rapa, Esquire, is the principal and managing partner of Rapa, P.C. Rapa Law Office, P.C. is a small general practitioner law firm focusing on consumer protection and debt-related litigation. Since graduating with honors from Widener University School of Law in 2002, Jason has worked in a wide variety of law practice while working for a law firm in the Poconos and later at a law firm in the Lehigh Valley. Despite his experience in criminal defense, personal injury, family law, and estate planning, Jason found his work defending consumer rights most rewarding, which led him to focus his practice on helping those struggling with consumer protection issues and debt related Subjects. In addition to debt and consumer protection issues, Rapa Law Office, PC also provides assistance to clients with personal injury, criminal defense, family law, and wills and estate matters. In these other areas of law, Jason shares duties with his brother and partner Matthew J. Rapa, Esquire, who enjoys litigation and excels in front of a jury. Jason prides itself on serving individuals struggling with debt and debt-related issues, and routinely represents Jason in bankruptcies under Chapters 7 and 13 of the United States Bankruptcy Act and in filing claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act for consumers injured and ill-treated by collection agencies, creditors and credit bureaus. Jason has also served clients with automotive cases, Truth in Lending Act cases, and home improvement cases. Jason is a registered attorney in all of the state courts in the state of Pennsylvania and in the federal courts for the eastern, central, and western counties of Pennsylvania, and on the Third Circle Court of Appeals, and has served thousands of clients across Pennsylvania. He has also promoted consumer rights in the U.S. Courtroom Jason also regularly lectures on consumer bankruptcy matters and fair debt collection law at local, state, and national conferences for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and local bar associations. Jason is a board member of the Carbon County Bar Association, a member of The National Association of Consumer Advocates, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys are actively involved in community regeneration organizations such as the Lehighton Downtown Initiative. The Pennsylvania Fair Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Report Act, and the Unfair Commercial Practices Act and Consumer Protection Act are three important laws that help protect the rights of consumers in Pennsylvania. Rapa law firm routinely represents individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation. Much of this work revolves around our goal of protecting Pennsylvania consumers.
