James C. Wing, Jr.

Attorney Wing's practice focuses on issues confronting families.  He represents wives, husbands and advocates for children when appointed guardian ad litem, in custody and divorce cases.  A parent of learning-disabled children, Attorney Wing advocates for students seeking accommodations and/or special pupil services and for students facing expulsion or other discipline in administrative hearings and court matters. His practice includes criminal defense, with an emphasis on juvenile and youthful offenders.Mr. Wing is a graduate of the University of Hartford and the University of Connecticut, School of Law. He is a James Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation and is a former Director and Past President of the Hartford County Bar Foundation. He was named a "Top Lawyer" by Hartford Magazine in 2010 and is rated 10/10 by AVVO.com.Attorney Wing addressed the Connecticut Psychological Association at its 13th Annual Conference in 2005 on the subject of Bullying in Public Schools.  He twice addressed school teachers and administrators and lawyers on “School Discipline and the Special Needs Child” and moderated a continuing legal education seminar on the Connecticut Child Support Guidelines.
