Brian P. Johnson, founder of his law firm of the same name in Greenville, South Carolina, divides his practice between criminal defense cases and family law matters. He provides dedicated representation to clients across the state and is licensed in all of the South Carolina state courts. He was also named a National Trial Lawyers: Top 100. In his criminal defense practice, Mr. Johnson assists individuals who have been accused by the state of guilty of wrongdoing or criminal offense. The types of cases he has handled on their behalf include fraud and other economic crimes, alcohol driving, drug possession and distribution, sex crimes, armed robbery, domestic violence, kidnapping, arson, and murder. In many of these cases, Mr. Johnson has achieved positive results, whether through dismissals or acquittals, or as a result of negotiating favorable objection agreements with the prosecutor. Mr. Johnson was born and raised in South Carolina. He attended Clemson University's Calhoun Honors College, where he focused on history, and earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in 2002. He then went on to study law at the University of South Carolina Law School and received his Juris Doctorate in 2005. Prior to opening his own law firm in 2012, Mr. Johnson was an attorney with the 13th Judicial Circuit Public Defender Office in Greenville.
