News, where she has offered in-depth legal commentary on various subjects. Moreover, she has conducted many lectures and seminars on LGBTQ law, same-sex relationship rights and more.A 1982 graduate of Hofstra University, Ms. Hindin obtained her Juris Doctor in 1985 from St. John's University School of Law. The New York State Bar admitted her to practice the following year, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.A leader in her legal community, Ms. Hindin has served on a number of committees related to matrimonial law and municipal affairs, including the committees on state legislation and family court and family law. She is also a former Executive Committee member of the New York State Bar Association's Family Law Section, and she currently serves on the organization's Special Committed on LGBT People and the Law.A staunch advocate for the rights of children, Ms. Hindin is a Certified Guardian Ad Litem with the Appellate Division's First Department, and she currently serves as Registered Counsel with the U.S. Department Attorney Network, where she handles matters involving the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. She is also a member of the Lambda Legal Defense Fund's Cooperating Attorney Network.
