- As partner at Carico Macdonald Kil & Benz LLP, Amber N. Morton represents clients in the Los Angeles, Long Beach and El Segundo metropolitan areas. Her practice is focused on matters of financial elder abuse litigation and dispute resolution, and trust and estate litigation, and dispute resolution. An experienced litigator, her clients include agents, beneficiaries, heirs, conservators, executors and trustees.Ms. Morton has a background in employment litigation in both federal and state courts. While at the firm, she has prosecuted and defended complex litigation issues, such as financial elder abuse actions, contested accountings, breach of fiduciary duty, trust and will contests, fiduciary removal actions, and Probate Code Section 850 actions.At Georgetown University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in foreign service. Ms. Morton then attended the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor. While studying to become an attorney, she was an editor and staff member of the University of Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice. A graduate of the Trial Advocacy Project of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, she is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in California.Ms. Morton has given presentations related to employment law, and published written pieces on transgender employee restroom access and other topics related to employment law. Through arbitration proceedings, informal settlements and summary judgment dismissals, Ms. Morton often obtains favorable outcomes for her clients.
