As a founding partner of Bernabei & Kabat, PLLC, Alan Kabat is dedicated to assisting employees and individuals involved in labor, harassment, civil rights and other workplace-related cases. Mr. Kabat received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1983, and then earned a Ph.D. in biology from Harvard University in 1990. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1998. He was a senior editor of the American Criminal Law Review. Mr. Kabat brings decades of experience regarding whistleblower, sexual harassment and employment discrimination cases as well as matters involving civil rights and civil liberties. He has fought to protect the rights of women, minorities and those whose disclosures involve information regarding public safety and health. His clients have worked for government agencies, universities, nuclear facilities, and major U.S. companies and manufacturers.Mr. Kabat is licensed to practice law before the state courts of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. He is also licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th and 10th Circuits; and the U.S. District Courts for District of Columbia, Maryland and the Eastern District of Virginia. He was a member of the American Criminal Law Review and also served as editor-in-chief for its 13th Survey of White Collar Crime.
