- Monty K. Woolsey is a partner of Cross, Pennamped, Woolsey & Glazier, P.C., in Carmel, Indiana. He has practiced family law exclusively for the past 30 years; his areas of focus include complex property division, custody, third-party custody proceedings, paternity actions, child support, mediation and family law appeals.Mr. Woolsey is certified as a specialist in family law by the Indiana Family Law Certification Board and is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is also an Indiana family law mediator. Mr. Woolsey has extensive experience representing family law clients in the trial courts and on appeal before the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court.Mr. Woolsey is respected by his peers, and has been honored with listings in several peer-reviewed publications. He is currently listed as AV Preeminent* by Martindale & Hubbell following a peer-reviewed rating process and has received equivalent ratings since 1999.Mr. Woolsey is also active in the legal community. He participates regularly as a lecturer and author on family issues for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum and the Indianapolis Bar Association. His presentations have included a review of changes to Indiana's custody relocation statute, a discussion of family law trends and developments, and a lecture about what to know before appealing a family law decision.Mr. Woolsey graduated magna cum laude,with distinction in psychology, from Wabash College in 1981. He received his Juris Doctor from Indiana University in 1984 and served as law clerk to Magistrate J. Patrick Endsley, United States Federal District Court, for two years. He joined Cross, Pennamped, Woolsey & Glazier, P.C., in 1985 and has been a partner since 1993.Mr. Woolsey lives with his wife and daughter in Fishers, Indiana, where he serves as Director and Secretary of the Fishers Home Corporation, and as advocate for the Knights of Columbus, Fishers Council #6923.Cross, Pennamped, Woolsey & Glazier, P.C., represents clients throughout Indiana regarding high-asset divorces, child custody and parenting time, cohabitation and paternity cases, as well as all other types of related family law issues.
