- Michael J. Jurek is an attorney at the firm of Dungan & LeFevre located in Troy, Ohio. Mr. Jurek focuses his practice on family law and has experience with a variety of domestic relation matters, including divorce, custody, modifications and parental rights. He also handles commercial litigation cases and serves clients in Troy, Dayton, Piqua and throughout Darke, Montgomery and Shelby counties.Mr. Jurek earned a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Grantville, Ohio, and graduated cum laude. He obtained his law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While attending law school, he was the associate editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. He has been licensed to practice law since 2007 and is admitted in Ohio and Kentucky as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.Following law school, Mr. Jurek served as a judicial clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and worked as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society in Louisville, Kentucky. He gained substantial trial experience, litigating cases at the state, appellate and supreme court levels. He also worked as an associate in the business litigation department of a private law firm and joined Dungan & LeFevre in 2013.Outside of running his practice, Mr. Jurek enjoys staying involved in his legal community. He is a member of the Miami County Bar Association and active in the Dayton Bar Association, serving as chair of the association’s public and member services committee.
