- James B. Lampke is an attorney with the Law Offices of Lampke & Lampke in Hingham, Massachusetts. Serving a diverse range of clients throughout the state, including the Greater Boston metro region, the South Shore and all the surrounding areas. While at New England Law, he was also on the Law Review. Along with practicing before all state courts in Massachusetts, Mr. Lampke is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.Mr. Lampke is also one of a small selected group of North American attorneys designated after an examination process as a Local Government Fellow under the auspices of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA). Mr. Lampke is a trained Internal Affairs Investigator in workplace discrimination and hostile workplace environment matters and often serves as an Independent Hearing Officer in personnel and other matters. He is able to utilize and transfer his skills in local government law to non-governmental legal matters. He has also written extensively and conducted numerous lectures and seminars across the state on a variety of legal topics, earning his reputation as an often sought out attorney for general and unique legal matters.Mr. Lampke’s professionalism has been recognized by his peers. He has received the President's Award from the City Solicitors & Town Counsel Association (now the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association, Inc.) and the Public Service Award from the Massachusetts Bar Association. In addition, the International Municipal Lawyers Association has awarded him the Distinguished Public Service Award, the State Chair National Award and the Charles Rhyne Lifetime Achievement in Municipal Law Award.As evidence of his professionalism Mr. Lampke is highly active in the legal community. He is a member of the, the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association (of which he serves as Executive Director), the International Municipal Lawyers Association (of which he serves as State Chair), the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Plymouth County Bar Association. He has served as chairman for the public law council and municipal law committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Lampke is also a frequent attendee, speaker and organizer of legal seminars.The longtime Town Counsel for the Town of Hull, Mr. Lampke serves and has served as Special Counsel, Agency Counsel, Independent Hearing Officer, Internal Affairs Investigator and in other capacities for numerous municipalities, governmental entities and other entities throughout the state.
