- Fermin Lopez is an associate attorney at Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Lopez devotes his practice to personal injury law, handling matters involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, nursing home negligence, premises liability, products liability, trucking accidents and other catastrophes. He represents plaintiffs throughout the entire state of Florida.Mr. Lopez has more than 15 years of experience and is a seasoned litigator. Recognizing his contributions to the legal profession, Florida Trend magazine named him one of Florida’s “Legal Elite” in 2016 and 2017, a distinction possessed by only a select few Florida attorneys.Outside of his practice, Mr. Lopez enjoys staying involved in the Florida legal community. He belongs to the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association and is a prior member of the organization’s board of directors. He is also a former member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida and the Florida Justice Association.In addition, Mr. Lopez serves as an adjunct professor at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and is a former adjunct at the University of Central Florida. In previous years, he volunteered with the Orange County Bar Association, Legal Aid Society’s GAL program.Mr. Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and received his law degree from the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law. He acquired his law license in 2003. He is qualified to practice in all Florida state courts and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Prior to becoming a licensed attorney, he served in the U.S. Army in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Somalia, Africa.
