- A highly regarded civil trial lawyer, Keith D. Lapuyade joined the Overton Law Firm as a partner in May 2018. Practicing out of the firm's office in Lakewood, Colorado, he provides representation to business and individual clients throughout Jefferson County, other parts of the greater Denver metropolitan area, and across the state. Admitted to practice before all Colorado and Oklahoma state courts, Mr. Lapuyade is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.The types of cases that Mr. Lapuyade has worked on in a distinguished career that spans more than 30 years have included breach of fiduciary duties by executors and trustees, complex commercial disputes, personal injury and wrongful death litigation, professional liability defense, and bad faith and other insurance coverage claims. In addition to his excellent courtroom skills, he has handled many of these matters through mediation and before arbitration panels. He then went on to pursue his legal education at what was then known as O. W. Coburn School of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1986. Frequently asked to deliver presentations to groups of attorneys on topics related to his practice area, he is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and other professional groups.
