Yale, 459 F.Supp. 1 (D.Conn. 1979), 631 F.2d 178 (2nd Cir. 1980), the first case to challenge sexual harassment as sex discrimination in education. In 2012, for Title IX’s 40th Anniversary, she and her co-plaintiffs were acknowledged by the National ACLU as one of the Nine Most Influential Actors in Title IX’s history.In 1992, as lead counsel for plaintiffs in Patricia H. v. Berkeley Unified School District, et al., 830 F.Supp 1288 (N.D. Cal. 1993), Price mounted a second historic legal challenge to sexual harassment in education.  On July 21, 1993, in the first decision to squarely address the issue, U.S. District Court Judge William H. Orrick ruled that Title IX also prohibits a sexually hostile educational environment. Price ultimately settled the case for $800,000.00.In 2002, Price made legal history in a racial harassment case entitled Morgan v. Amtrak, 232 F.3d 1008 (9th Cir. 2000), 536 U.S. 101, 112 S.Ct. 1516 (2002), by successfully arguing her case in the United States Supreme Court. She was named the 2002 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year in Employment (CLAY Award).  In 2004, she was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Northern California.In 2003, 2015 and again in 2016 Price received Certificates of Special Congressional Recognition for her community service. In 2017, she was honored by the California Legislature as the Woman of the Year for Assembly District 18.  Price received the Charles Houston Bar Association's Clinton W. White Trial Advocacy Award twice, in 1993 and again in 2001.  She made legal history with precedent-setting decisions in Jones v. K-Mart (1998) 17 Cal.4th 3298, Nicole M. v. Martinez Unified School District (N.D.Cal. 1997) 964 F.Supp. 1369 and Freitag v. Ayers, 468 F.3d 528 (9th Cir. 2006).Price joined the volunteer Board of Directors of the San Francisco Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in 2006.  In 2007, Price served as the Interim Executive Director.  She went on to serve two terms as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors, and as the Director of Special Projects where her primary responsibilities include analysis of racial justice issues and discrimination cases, education equity issues, juvenile justice advocacy, development support and fundraising initiatives.Born in Dayton, Ohio, Pamela Price is a survivor of the Ohio juvenile justice and foster care systems.  She earned her B.A. from Yale University in 1978, and her Master's and J.D. from UC Berkeley in 1982.  She spent her Junior Year Abroad at the University of Dar-es-Salaam in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa.Pamela sees clients by appointment only and charges a nominal consultation fee for each appointment, depending on the type of case.
