- A passionate advocate for the rights of her clients, Tara L. Sharp is an attorney, owner and counselor at Tara L. Sharp & Associates. She represents the people of Michigan with integrity, experience and care. An accomplished attorney, she handles cases of family law and criminal defense. Her family law practice includes cases of divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, grandparents’ rights, guardianship, paternity, property division and visitation. Those who have been accused of committing crimes such as traffic violations, drug crimes, DUIs and DWIs also benefit from her accomplished legal representation.Admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and Michigan, Ms. Sharp is a cum laude graduate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. With a unique sensitivity for the plight of families in the midst of turmoil and those facing an uncertain future, she defends the rights and best interests of her clients to the best of her ability.Her love for animals has led her to a position as the local animal shelter’s executive director, the board of Gryphon Place and the board of SPCA. Currently, Ms. Sharp helps special needs pets find homes through her small animal shelter. A member of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association, she is deeply invested in building and maintaining relationships with other professionals.Ms. Sharp also handles cases for those who are on parole after a conviction of a crime.
