- Stanley D. Monroe is a criminal defense attorney based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has more than four decades of experience and is a proud solo practitioner with Stanley D. Monroe, P.C. In 2011, Mr. Monroe was named Defender of the Year by the Criminal Justice Department of the Oklahoma Bar Association. For his high ethical standards and long list of successful results, he has the highest possible peer rating from AV Preeminent * by Martindale-. Hubbell. He is also a fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers. In 1975, Mr. Monroe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. He then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1978 with a Juris Doctorate. Customers charged with DUI, drug crimes, sex crimes, business crimes, violent crimes and traffic violations come to Mr. Monroe for his help with working through the justice system. In addition to clients facing criminal cases, Mr. Monroe also works with clients who already have criminal records to have them erased or sealed. Monroe is passionate about being a goalkeeper in the judiciary. From a minor traffic violation to the death penalty, he's fully committed to protecting the rights of every customer. Monroe is admitted to the bar in state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, U.S. Supreme Court of Justice and U.S. Court of Appeal for the 10th Circuit. A past President of the Tulsa County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Mr. Monroe also served on the US Magistrate Selection Committee and the Federal Public Defense Selection Committee.
