- Ms. Mandel has argued over 1500 appeals in every Florida District Court of Appeal; the Florida Supreme Court; the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal and served as co-counsel before the United States Supreme Court. She has over 600 reported appellate decisions. Ms. Mandel has successfully represented parties in numerous substantive areas, including divorce actions (including child custody; child support and alimony matters); foreclosure cases; debt matters including foreclosure actions; products liability; contract disputes; insurance coverage; and environmental and land use litigation; and in challenges to proposed state constitutional amendments and administrative rules. She has also filed amicus briefs on behalf of organizations involved in high-profile appeals that raise significant class action-related policy and public policy questions. Ms. Mandel has lectured both new trial judges and new state attorneys on Rule 3.800 and Rule 3.850 Post-Conviction Motions and has successfully litigated Post Conviction Motions as well as State and Federal Petitions for Writ of Habeas Corpus Relief on behalf of clients. Ms. Mandel served as appellate counsel in the litigation stemming from Anna Nicole Smith's death in Florida, and after giving numerous news conferences was asked to serve as an appellate legal commentator on both the Nancy Grace Show and the Greta Van Sustern Show. Ms. Mandel previously served as an appointed member on the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure Committee and the Executive Council of the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar. She has previously served on the Criminal Rules Committee of the Florida Bar and on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Currently, Ms. Mandel is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Dade Branch of the Miami Jewish Federation Board. She has been rated AV Preeminent the past 20 years by Martindale Hubbel and consistently named a Legal Leader by the Miami Herald. The Mandel Law Group, P.A. has also been selected as the boutique law firm of the month by Attorney At Law Magazine.
