Attorney Robert C. Hilliard, who has achieved national recognition for his work on many high profile cases, has achieved unprecedented success in advocating for those who suffer from the negligent, negligent, or illegal acts of another. The founding partner of Hilliard Martinez Gonzales L.L.P. Based in Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr. Hilliard represents clients across the state and country in a variety of mass litigation, personal injury and death, and business and commercial litigation. He is currently Co-Lead Counsel in the multiple district class action lawsuit against General Motors Ignition Switches in what is considered one of the largest product liability lawsuits in American history. He has been an attorney for more than 35 years and has dual certifications in personal injury and civil procedural law. Mr. Hilliard, of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, has extensive knowledge and insight into many areas of law and is frequently the leading legal analyst for numerous national and international Print and television news. 1980 Graduated with Honors from St. Edward's University, Mr. Hilliard began his legal career after receiving his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1983 and admission to the State Bar of Texas that same year. A truly national attorney, Mr. Hilliard also practices in federal courts across the country, including the US Supreme Court. He is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. Recognized as one of the best lawyers in the country, Mr. Hilliard served as a lawyer from 1992 to 1995, he served as the chairman of the National Ethics Committee. In 2016 he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from St. Edward's University. Mr. Hilliard, who is the subject of numerous articles and cover stories for a variety of legal publications, has earned a reputation as a "bulldog" for his aggressive litigation tactics and relentless pursuit of justice.
