As founder of Franklin Law, LLC, Rebecca Franklin Harris works with clients in Atlanta, Savannah and throughout the state of Georgia regarding consumer rights and product safety. In addition to dangerous consumer products, her personal injury and wrongful death litigation practice has included cases arising out of motor vehicle crashes, medical malpractice, and premises liability incidents such as inadequate security. During her career, she has obtained several sizable settlements and jury awards on behalf of her clients. In one highly publicized case involving a fatal accident during the filming of a motion picture, along with her husband, Jeffrey Harris of Harris Lowry Manton LLP, obtained a jury verdict in excess of $11.2 million for the parents of a camera assistant who was fatally injured when struck by a train while working.As an undergraduate, Mrs. Harris received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2001. She then went on to pursue her legal education at the University of Georgia School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2004. Mrs. Harris is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts.Mrs. Harris was inducted into the Fulton County Daily Report’s Verdicts Hall of Fame after securing a $16.5 million jury award for an accident caused by a defective tire design by Michelin North America. In 2014, she was one of the attorneys presented with the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association's Courageous Pursuit of Justice Award for her work on a wrongful death case involving the death of a man while in the care of a drug and alcohol facility. She has been named to both The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100.
