- From the Woodbury, Minnesota, office of Kniess Law, LLC, Michelle M. Kniess helps families navigate legal issues. Her previous experience as a business litigation attorney and extensive practice in family law give Ms. Kniess keen insight into cases that involve asset valuation and property division, as well.After earning a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2002, Ms. Kniess went on to receive a Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.Now, Ms. Kniess relies upon her education, her experience and her connection with clients to obtain favorable outcomes. She stays on top of legal trends in family law through her participation in groups such as the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Family Law League, the 19th District Bar Association, and the Washington County Bar Association-Minnesota. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral.When she is not at her practice, Ms. Kniess serves her community through work with the Volunteer Lawyers Network and as a volunteer attorney for the Hennepin County Unbundled Legal Services Project. She has also offerred to donate her time to a limited scope legal services project that is beginning to develop in Washington County.Ms. Kniess manages a boutiqe family law practice comprised of attorneys and staff experienced in family law issues in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
