- With more than 20 years of experience, Michael R. DuPont is a valuable member of the team at McKenna, Dupont, Higgins & Stone, based in Red Bank, New Jersey and focuses on a variety of professional corporate matters, including commercial law, credit union law, real estate, bankruptcy and foreclosure, creditors' rights and municipal law. He also handles personal injury cases. He has considerable experience in all areas of the court process, from litigation to mediation and arbitration.After graduating from Le Moyne College in 1980, Mr. DuPont received his Bachelor of Arts in political science and business administration in 1983 from Loyola University Chicago. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in 1986. Mr. DuPont is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia; and before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.For his dedication to high ethical standards and thorough representation, Mr. DuPont has been recognized by his peers and by important state and federal figures. He participated in transition teams for Governors McGreevey and Corzine, and served as co-finance chairperson during Senator John Kerry's presidential election campaign. DuPont is an active member of the New Jersey and Monmouth bar associations and the state's Office of Attorney Ethics. Additionally, he has served as treasurer and commissioner for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, councilman for the Borough of Red Bank and trustee for Monmouth County. He helps people file for bankruptcy relief under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
