Michael Ditore has been an attorney at Chicago-based Corboy & Demetrio since April 2018. Focusing his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area. Mr. Ditore has been admitted to practice before all Illinois state courts since 2013.Mr. Ditore's client base is made up of people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses as a direct result of the negligence or recklessness of other people or entities. The types of cases that he has handled have included surgical errors and other forms of medical malpractice, defective products, construction site accidents, premises liability, and truck and other motor vehicle crashes. Some of Mr. Ditore's representative successes have included a $1 million settlement in a wrongful death case for the family of a baby who died during childbirth as a result of a failure to perform a C-section and a $2.6 million jury award for a woman who was harmed by a surgical error.Majoring in political science, Mr. Ditore attended Illinois State University as an undergraduate, and he received a Bachelor of Science in 2010. He then went on to pursue his legal education at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While he was there, Mr. Ditore served several clerkships, including with his current firm and with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, and he participated in numerous mock trial competitions before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2013. After he graduated, he spent more than four years as a prosecutor with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office before entering private practice. Mr. Ditore has been an adjunct professor in trial advocacy at his law school alma mater, and he is a member of several professional groups.
