Kristine L. Calalang is the owner of The Law Office of Kristine L. Calalang and has been practicing family law in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties since 2004. Ms. Calalang obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The College of New Jersey (also completing a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry) and her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law (VLS).Ms. Calalang is active in the Philadelphia Bar Association, and she has been elected to serve on the Board of Governors, starting in 2020. She has also been appointed to be a Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Management Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Additionally, she served as the 2019 Chair of the Family Law Section (FLS) and continues to be the Chair of the FLS Diversity Committee, a Co-Chair of the FLS Custody Committee, and a member of the FLS Executive Committee. She has been a presenter and a course planner for many CLE and other programs for the Bar Association. In November 2019, she was named as a Bar Star by the Philadelphia Bar Association for her work above and beyond for the FLS.Ms. Calalang is also an active alumni of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She is the Co-President (and past President) of the Villanova Minority Alumni Society Leadership Board and a Board Advisor of the Villanova Law Alumni Association Board. She often plans and presents programs for the law school along with speaking at Villanova University and area law schools. In April 2019, Ms. Calalang received the Villanova Law Alumni Association Gerald Abraham Award for Service for her exemplary leadership and service to the law school.Ms. Calalang is also an active member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania (APABA-PA) and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She was appointed to be a Co-Chair for the 2020 Lunar Banquet Committee, and she is a member of APABA-PA's Community Outreach Committee.Ms. She was also named as a Lawyer on the Fast Track for 2008 by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly and has been placed on the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania's Pro Bono Rolls of Honor for exemplary pro bono work each year from 2006 – 2010.
