- Attorney Katherine A. O’Rourke is a partner at Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in Washington, D.C. Ms. O’Rourke practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child-related matters, complex financial issues and support, serving clients in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.Ms. O’Rourke has been licensed to practice law since 2002 and is admitted in the District of Columbia, Illinois and Maryland. Before practicing family law, she worked for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia as a trial attorney, gaining extensive litigation experience.Since beginning her family law practice, Ms. O’Rourke has developed a reputation as a respected litigator as well as a negotiator. She is skilled at crafting ideal settlement agreements for her clients while thoroughly preparing them for the court process if litigation is necessary. In addition to her practice, she has lectured on family law topics and negotiation techniques at educational institutions and at training courses.Ms. O’Rourke is active in the District of Columbia Bar. She serves on the organization’s family law steering committee and is a member of the family law section. She is also treasurer of the Friends of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and a member of the Domestic Violence Rules Committee.After earning a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster, Ms. O’Rourke graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent Law School. While attending college, she served as a volunteer teacher in Costa Rica with World Teach.
