Jack Cannon represents injured parties in personal injury and workers' compensation cases. He has had several multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements totaling over $50 million, including a record $23.75 million verdict in Will County. Jack has successfully tried hundreds of cases at the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission and in the Circuit Court of Cook County. He received the Illinois Trial Lawyer Excellence Award in 2010 from the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter and the Verdict of the Month Award from Verdict Search, a national publication, in February of 2010, and again in April, 2010.Jack was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Dublin, Ireland. He returned to the United States and received his B.A. from Loyola University in 1987 and his law degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1993. Jack spent several years as a high-rise concrete laborer with Laborers Local 4 while earning his law degree. He has applied this experience and understanding to his representation of injured workers.Jack was elected by his peers to the Presidency of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association (WCLA) in 2017. Jack is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) and the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). Jack was inducted into the Loyola University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992 and is past president of the Viking Athletic Association. Jack has lectured nationwide regarding personal injury issues and is a frequent lecturer on Illinois Workers’ Compensation. He was recently invited to sit on the revision of the Rules of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and has addressed the Illinois Senate and House sub-committees on pending Workers’ Compensation legislation. Jack authored numerous articles for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and is a frequent contributor to the firm's monthly column in The Irish American News.
