- As an attorney and certified public account, Daniel Scott Rosefelt represents clients throughout the nation as part of Daniel Rosefelt & Associates, LLC. With over two decades of experience, he handles business tax law and has appeared before a long list of state tax agencies, the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue, the Comptroller of Maryland and the Internal Revenue Service. He shares his experience with new attorneys as an adjunct law professor at Stetson University College of Law.Mr. Rosefelt has spent time as a tax accountant and auditor with a public accounting firm before opening his own firm. As a member of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs, he is also a Lawyer of Distinction and has an Avvo “Superb” rating. His focus extends to domestic voluntary disclosures, nonfiler cases, tax fraud cases, eggshell audits, IRS administrative appeals, criminal tax investigations, high income tax debt resolutions, offshore voluntary disclosures and U.S. Tax Court litigation.In 1981 Mr. Rosefelt obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin and two years later became a certified public accountant. At Stetson University College of Law, he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor and was a published editor board member of the Stetson Law Review.A member of The Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Rosefelt is also on the board of directors and chairman of the education committee for the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs. He is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Supreme Court.
