At Sauer & Petterson Family Law, Brandi M. Petterson is partner, owner and founding member. She represents clients in Colorado in matters of family law, including child custody, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, mediation, retirement valuations, attorney fees and much more. Her passion is in securing the financial stability of her clients and creating a supportive, loving environment for children caught up in the middle of divorce proceedings.A member of the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association, Ms. Petterson also volunteers for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center as guardian ad litem. Since 2007, she has been admitted to practice in Colorado and understands when it is best for a client to resolve a case through negotiation, settlement or mediation. She is also prepared to litigate and do what is necessary to protect the rights of her clients, and they rely on her for experience, action, knowledge, persistence and voice.Ms. Petterson attended the University of Florida, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts. At the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, she obtained a Juris Doctor and a Master of Law degree in 2007. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, rational and sound judgment, and talent for communicating successfully with opposing counsel, the client and the courts.For over a decade, Ms. Petterson has immersed herself in legal issues related to family law. As a senior associate with a prior law firm and a judicial law clerk to a prominent Judge on the domestic bench, she is keenly equipped to focus on the rights of her clients and protects them as if they were her own.
