- Focusing her practice on complex commercial litigation, including fraud and asset recovery, Annette C. Escobar is the founder of the ACE Law Firm. Based in Miami, Florida, she represents clients throughout the greater metropolitan area, as well as overseas. Admitted to practice before all Florida state courts since 2000, Ms. Escobar is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.The types of cases that Ms. Escobar has handled in her domestic commercial litigation practice have included contract and fiduciary duty breaches, fraud, investment disputes, tortious interference with contractual relations, and similar matters. She has also overseen international litigation, developing a case strategy and working with trusted local counsel. Some of her work in this regard has included international treaties, forum non conveniens and sovereign immunity.Ms. Escobar's asset recovery practice involves her representation of clients who have been the victims of theft, financial fraud or corruption. She seeks to make her clients whole by targeting individual assets and by filing lawsuits against the responsible parties, as well as their aiders and abettors. Ms. Escobar's successful track record in all of her professional endeavors, as well as the overall high quality of her work, has resulted in a great deal of recognition from her fellow attorneys, including an "Excellent" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, the South Florida Legal Guide has included her in its annual Top Lawyers list. Ms. Escobar attended the St. Thomas University School of Law, where she served on the St. Thomas Law Review before being awarded her Juris Doctor with high honors in 2000.
