Sara N. McDonough is a shareholder and attorney with Alan Lescht & Associates, PC, in Washington, D.C. Both the Virginia State Bar and The District of Columbia Bar admitted her to practice that same year, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.During her time in law school, Ms. McDonough focused her studies and work experience on employment law and employment discrimination. She completed an externship with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Richmond field office, where she worked closely with the Commission's attorneys and investigators on cases involving all types of discrimination as well as harassment, retaliation and other unlawful employment practices.Additionally, Ms. McDonough interned with the disAbility Law Center of Virginia, advocating on behalf of disabled persons, and she also interned with the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission, where she helped develop employment policy manuals and helped conduct training sessions for new public defenders.
