Andrew Cobos is the founder of The Cobos Law Firm, where his singular focus is winning cases for his clients. Over the course of his practice, Andrew has recovered tens-of-millions of dollars for his clients through tough and focused advocacy.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduating, the United States Army commissioned Andrew Cobos as a Lieutenant. Early in his career, Andrew conducted security operations with the Secret Service for the President and Air Force One. Later, Andrew deployed twice to combat in Iraq, where he planned and led security operations during the Iraqi Constitutional Referendum and the Iraqi National Elections. During his second combat tour, the United States awarded Andrew the Bronze Star Medal
Education and Experience
Andrew attended the University of Houston Law Center and Bauer College of Business, where he obtained both his JD and MBA degrees in the span of three-years. Upon graduation, Andrew worked with two of the nation’s most prestigious and successful law firms, whereby he helped obtain numerous eight-figure recoveries for his clients.
From 2017 to present, Super Lawyers magazine has recognized Andrew as a Texas rising star, which is a distinction limited to 2.5% of practicing attorneys.
In 2011, the Texas Governor appointed Andrew to the University of Houston System Board of Regents. There, he helped govern the operations of four major Texas Universities with a budget of over $1 Billion. In 2015, the Texas Governor appointed Andrew to the Texas Veterans Land Board. There, he provided oversight of Texas’ Veterans housing programs.

Andrew enjoys adventure and has traveled to over 30 countries. He is a licensed skydiver and loves to snowboard. In his travels, he crossed the DMZ between North and South Korea and ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Furthermore, Andrew is very active in the Houston community and has been recognized with several awards.
