As a founding partner of Lyles & Associates, Robert T. Lyles Jr. works hard to serve clients in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Mr. Lyles has a focus on construction and commercial disputes and has successfully represented entrepreneurs, general contractors, design professionals, product manufacturers and real estate developers. After graduating from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984, Mr. Lyles continued his education at the University of South Carolina, where he received his Doctorate in Law. He began his legal career at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak and Stewart, where he became an equity partner. In 2000 he founded the law firm Lyles & Associates. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Lyles has proven himself to be a fierce advocate for his clients both in and out of the courtroom. He has served as a senior attorney in more than 50 court cases involving incredibly complex legal matters and has received positive judgments for his clients. Many of these practices resulted in customer rewards in excess of $ 1 million. Mr. Lyles has discussed cases in the U.S. 4th and 5th circuit appeals courts and is certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the appeals courts for the 4th and 5th circuits. He has practiced in the South Carolina state and federal courts and is a speaker at educational seminars and for trade groups such as the Community Associations Institute.
