A partner at Albany, New York, litigation firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP George F. Carpinello serves clients in Albany and other upstate New York communities in matters of civil litigation, including antitrust and intellectual property litigation, environmental law, land use and civil rights cases as well as corporate dissolution. With extensive experience in both trial and appellate courts, Mr. Carpinello is currently lending his versatile skills and insight to representing several high-profile corporate clients that include a major league sports franchise, two multinational chemical companies and a multinational re-insurance company.Mr. Carpinello pursued his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, graduating with high honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa in 1972. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the prestigious Yale Law School in 1975, where he was the editor of the Yale Law Journal and recipient of the Thurman Arnold Moot Court Prize. On account of his academic talents, Mr. Carpinello became a law professor at the Albany Law School and directed its Government Law Center before dedicating himself fully to legal pursuits. Prior to joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, he was a partner at Barrett Gravante Carpinello & Stern LLP and another area firm.Mr. Carpinello is admitted to practice in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 5th, and 9th Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York. He currently chairs the New York State Advisory Committee on Civil Practice and is a former member of several notable commissions, including the New York State Commission on Public Integrity, the Chief Judge's Commission on the Appointment of Fiduciaries in New York Courts and the Chief Judge's Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
