The founder of his law firm of the same name, Jonathan D. Sooriash, focuses exclusively on tax compliance and auditing issues. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, he helps individuals and corporations in the United States who are having issues with the Internal Revenue Service or their state tax authorities. Mr. Sooriash is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the US tax court. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Mr. Sooriash advises and advises clients who are the subject of proposed or pending collection actions on a wide variety of matters. These included failing to file tax returns or underreporting income that resulted in unpaid tax amounts. Many of his clients have seen their bank accounts raised, their wages garnished, and mortgages placed on their real and personal property. In many cases, Mr Sooriash has been able to negotiate favorable settlements with the relevant authorities, including compromise offers, installment agreements, release of duties and mortgages, and return of seized assets. Another part of his ministry is preparing and filing criminal returns, including payroll taxes, and has helped married people who were unaware of the failures of making a joint return receive what is known as the Innocent Spouse Relief. Sooriash is highly valued by his fellow attorneys for his successful track record. A graduate of the Florida Coastal School of Law, from which he received his Juris Doctor in 2010, he also holds an LL.M. in Tax from Chapman University's Dale E. Fowler Law School.
