A founding partner at Ross & Calandrillo, LLC, Elizabeth Amabile Calandrillo focuses her practice almost exclusively on family law matters, although she also has experience in handling residential real estate transactions for sellers and buyers. Located in Mountainside, New Jersey, she has been certified as a specialist in matrimonial law by the Board on Attorney Certification under the auspices of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Ms. Calandrillo is admitted to practice before all New Jersey and New York state courts, and she has received an "Excellent" peer review rating through Avvo, which is indicative of the high regard in which she is held by her colleagues.In her family law practice, Ms. Calandrillo represents people throughout the state whose marriages are coming to an end and who are thus having to deal with such issues as property division, child custody and visitation, and alimony and child support. While she is a forceful courtroom advocate when negotiations have come to a standstill, her training as a mediator has enabled her to help many of her clients reach an accord on these issues through the use of that alternative dispute resolution method. In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Calandrillo has assisted clients who have already divorced and who are seeking modifications to or the enforcement of existing parenting and support court orders. She has also helps domestic violence victims who are seeking protective orders from the court.Ms. Calandrillo is a graduate of St. Peter's University, where she majored in English and received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in 1994. She subsequently went on to attend Seton Hall University School of Law, and she served on its Interscholastic Moot Court Board before being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2000.
