Located in St. Paul, Minnesota, Rodney J. Mason is a stockholder in Mason & Helmers. Providing representation to clients in Ramsey and Hennepin counties and throughout the state, he focuses his practice on trust and estate litigation. The types of matters that Mr. Mason has extensive experience in include will contests, litigation involving executors and trustees, guardianships and conservatorships, inheritance and other probate disputes, creditors’ claims, and business succession disputes. Mason attended the University of Southern California as an undergraduate, where he majored in German language and literature and received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 1967. His legal education was obtained at the University of Minnesota Law School, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1976. Fluent in German and Spanish as well as English, Mr. Mason is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Oregon and Wisconsin. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, the United States Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States.Active in several professional organizations, Mr. Mason's memberships include the American, Minnesota State and Ramsey County bar associations. He has also been heavily involved in a variety of community organizations. For nearly 13 years, Mr. Mason served on the board of directors of the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, an organization that provides educational training and other services to homeless men, women and children. He was also a member of the board of directors of what then called Twin City Christian Homes, a group that provides housing to senior citizens.
