A partner at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, Nazli G. Sater focuses her practice exclusively on divorce and other family law matters. Located in Southfield, Michigan, she provides astute and compassionate representation to clients throughout the state whose marriages are coming to an end and who are having to reach decisions on such related issues as the division of complex assets and debts, child custody and visitation, and alimony and child support. In regard to property division, Ms. Sater has a great deal of experience in the valuation of business interests, investment portfolios and restricted stock units.A forceful courtroom advocate when necessary, Ms. Sater has an extensive background in arbitration, negotiations, and mediation, and she will when appropriate help her clients reach an accord through one or more of these alternative dispute resolution methods. Sater majored in political science as an undergraduate at Wayne State University, and she received a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. Remaining in Detroit, she pursued her legal education at Wayne State University Law School and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1985. After graduation, Ms. Sater served a clerkship with a judge on the 6th Circuit Court in Oakland County. She is admitted to practice in Michigan as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and her professional affiliations include the Oakland County Bar Association.
