- In Littleton, Colorado, Joe Pickard represents clients in cases of family law, personal injury and appellate law at Pickard Law, P.C. A former assistant county attorney in Jefferson County, Colorado, he also handles cases of medical malpractice, adoption, criminal law, juvenile law, dependency and neglect, civil litigation, and representation of attorneys in ethical matters.Mr. Admitted to practice in Colorado and before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, he also has extensive legal teaching experience gained over the last three-plus decades.As an active member of his community, Mr. Pickard is involved as a high school speech critic and a coach of the mock trial team, and speech and debate at Mullen High School, and works with the Boy Scouts of America and as a baseball coach for the Bear Creek Junior Sports Association. Throughout his career, he has tried close to 100 jury trials and loves to find a fair resolution to a complex problem.He is involved in many professional organizations, including the Metro Volunteer Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Federal Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the National Association of Counsel for Children, and the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. Former president of the 1st Judicial District Bar Association, Mr. Pickard also served as a board member for the Pinehurst Country Club and as vice president of the Colorado Bar Association.
