- As an attorney at the Law Office of James J. Keil, Jr., Paula A. Holt is dedicated to serving clients in Lakewood and Denver, Colorado, and throughout the state. She focuses her practice on family law, generally handling cases that involve divorce, alimony and spousal maintenance, post-divorce modifications, paternity matters, child support and custody, and common law marriage issues.In 2006, Ms. Holt received a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude. She then went on to graduate with a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Ms. Holt also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver, and she is in the process of obtaining a Master of Arts in conflict resolution.While clerking for two 1st Judicial District Court of Colorado judges, Ms. Holt gained valuable experience and behind the scenes knowledge, which she draws on to help her successfully resolve domestic relations disputes on behalf of her clients. Ms. Holt understands the complexities and challenges that many family law cases hold, and she knows that the outcomes of these cases often affect her clients' families and the rest of their lives. For this reason, she strives to listen to her clients' goals and to help them achieve amicable resolutions that address their short-term and long-term needs. Ms. Holt has an Avvo "Superb" rating.Staying active in the legal community is a priority for Ms. Holt. She is a member of the Family Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the First Judicial District Bar Association. Ms. Holt also teaches business ethics and legal studies courses at the University of Denver Daniels College of Business.
