Donelle Morgan leads the family law practice at Morgan Tidalgo Sukhodrev & Azzolino LLP in San Jose, California. A founding partner of the firm, she has been certified as a family law specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. Ms. Morgan focuses her practice on family law, particularly divorce, custody and visitation arrangements, for clients in San Jose and the rest of Santa Clara County as well as the Bay Area. Her cases involve characterization and division of assets, valuation of businesses and professional practices, misappropriation of assets, spousal and child support, breaches of fiduciary duty and actions to set aside prenuptial and marital settlement agreements.After graduating summa cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in 1976, Ms. Morgan earned her law degree in 1979 from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was ranked 13th in her graduating class. As a law student, she served as a judicial extern in the California Supreme Court, working in the office of the Honorable Stanley Mosk. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Morgan worked as an associate at various law firms before starting a solo practice. She later became a partner in a San Jose firm, leading its family law practice for 19 years until 2008, when she and two of her partners left to found their current firm. Morgan is active in a variety of professional organizations, including the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She regularly serves Santa Clara County as a judge pro tem, and she has recommended a number of revisions to Santa Clara County Family Court procedures that greatly benefited litigants once they were put in place.
