- A founding partner of Antonyan Miranda, LLP, Timothy Miranda now focuses his practice exclusively on family law matters, and he has been certified as a specialist in family law by the State Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California. Located in San Diego, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area, and he is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California. Highly regarded by his fellow professionals, Mr. Miranda has received a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.During his career, Mr. Miranda has handled many high net worth divorces involving professional athletes, business executives and celebrities, and his experience in that regard includes the division of such complex assets as 401(k) plans and other retirement accounts as well as stock options, investment portfolios, valuable collections and business ownership interests. He also has an extensive background in military divorces and their specific issues. In addition to his matrimonial practice, Mr. Miranda has helped victims of domestic violence obtain appropriate protective orders. Prior to becoming a family law attorney, he focused his practice on criminal defense, working with clients who have been charged with violent crimes and other felonies.Fluent in both English and Spanish, Mr. Miranda was awarded his Juris Doctor by Northwestern California University School of Law in Sacramento. Prior to that, he held senior executive positions with two multinational corporations. An active participant in several professional organizations, his memberships include the San Diego Family Law Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of The State Bar of California.
