A senior associate at Arnold, Rodman & Kretchmer PA, Kendal K O'Keefe focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters. From the firm's offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she provides representation to clients throughout the state. Admitted to practice before all Minnesota state courts, Ms. O'Keefe is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. The majority of Ms. O'Keefe's family law clients are people whose marriages are coming to an end and who are accordingly grappling with issues such as the division of marital assets and debts, child and spousal support, and child custody and visitation. A trained mediator, she is listed as a "qualified neutral" under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice for the District Courts. Accordingly, Ms. O'Keefe often helps her clients reach an accord on some or all of these matters through the use of that method of alternative dispute resolution. In other cases, she works with those clients who are attempting to reach a negotiated settlement. However, Ms. O'Keefe will forcefully advocate for her clients in court when litigation is necessary. In addition to her divorce practice, Ms. O'Keefe helps clients whose marriages have already been legally dissolved and who are seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing support or parenting orders. Her family law experience also encompasses paternity disputes and grandparents' visitation rights, and she has helped victims of domestic violence obtain appropriate protective orders. Ms. O'Keefe's undergraduate education was obtained at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2008. She then went on to attend what was then known as Hamline University School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2012.
